   Then skip the pool villas for now. Look at three clusters: behind Chiang Mai University, the Charoen Mueang / railway side, and the Central Festival side. The current one-bedrooms on the site run from ฿13,000 to ฿20,000, and a high-floor two-bedroom is ฿25,000.

   That band is realistic for a furnished first month. I would rather spend ฿13,000 and learn the city than sign ฿25,000 because the photo has a mountain in it. You can move once you know where your days actually happen.

   Dcondo Campus Resort is behind CMU, ฿18,000 a month, and the listing says it is about 350 meters from the engineering gate. That is the one I would walk before I rent a scooter.
